Animo B.V. is a Dutch manufacturer of professional coffee machines and brewing systems, headquartered in Assen. L. Scheepstra founded the company on 10 December 1950, selling coffee makers and supplies from a small shop in Amersfoort; the Assen branch opened in 1962 and became the headquarters in 1996. Animo designs and builds its products in its own Dutch factory, including the OptiBean, OptiMe and Latte+ ranges, brewers, water boilers, filters and accessories.
