Tecumseh Products Company, LLC is a US manufacturer of hermetic compressors for air conditioning and refrigeration, with corporate offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The business began in 1931 as the Hillsdale Machine and Tool Company and took the Tecumseh name when it moved to Tecumseh, Michigan, in 1934. It also made small gasoline engines until it sold those lines in 2007. Mueller Industries and Atlas Holdings completed the purchase of its refrigeration business in 2015.
