Retail is sale of goods and services to end-users, i.e. consumers. In opposite to wholesale, which is the sale of goods and services to resellers.
The retailing process is the final step in the supply chain from manufacturers to consumers. Retail sells goods to the general public, with each customer buying small quantities.
This sector includes two major types of retailers: store and nonstore retailers.
