ABC-Mart, Inc. is a Japanese footwear retailer headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, with stores in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines and an online store at abc-mart.net. English Wikipedia says it was founded in 1985, opened its first ABC-Mart stores in 1990, secured the exclusive Vans sales rights for Japan in 1991, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2002 and reached 1,000 stores in 2019. The online store sells sneakers, sports shoes, business and casual shoes, boots, work shoes, sandals, socks, bags and apparel from brands including Nike, adidas, New Balance, Vans, Converse, Puma, ASICS, Skechers, Salomon, Timberland and Dr. Martens, plus its own labels such as Hawkins. The group also owns the US boot makers LaCrosse Footwear and White's Boots.
