Bala is a Los Angeles-based fitness and wellness products company founded by Natalie Holloway and Maximilian Kislevitz, who launched the brand in 2018. Its best-known product is Bala Bangles, silicone-coated stainless steel weights worn on the wrists or ankles, followed by the Bala Bars hand weights in 2020 and the Beam barbell-style weight in 2021. The brand sells through its own website and a wholesale portal, and was picked up by Free People Movement in 2019. In 2020 the founders agreed a Shark Tank investment of $900,000 for 30% of the company.
