Bilka is a Danish chain of hypermarkets with an online shop at bilka.dk, selling electronics, garden furniture, toys and household goods. The first store opened in 1970 in Tilst, a suburb of Aarhus, and was the first low-price store of its kind in Denmark. The chain was founded by Herman Salling and is part of Salling Group. The name derives from the German Billiges Kaufhaus, meaning low-price department store. Products on its site include LEGO, Philips, Bosch, Barbie and Tefal.
