British Sugar plc

British Sugar plc is a UK sugar producer and the sole processor of the country's sugar beet crop, working with about 3,500 growers. It operates four factories in the East of England, East Midlands and Yorkshire, with capacity for up to 1.2 million tonnes of sugar a year, and turns the beet into co-products including animal feed, bioethanol, electricity and aggregate. Its operations are managed from Peterborough, and its registered office is in London. British Sugar is part of ABF Sugar, which is wholly owned by Associated British Foods plc.
