CommScope is a US network infrastructure company founded in August 1976 by Frank Drendel and Jearld Leonhardt in Hickory, North Carolina, with roots in the Superior Continental Cable business of 1953. Its product range includes fiber and copper cabling and connectivity, sold under brands such as SYSTIMAX, Uniprise and HELIAX. In January 2026 Amphenol completed its acquisition of CommScope's Connectivity and Cable Solutions business, which has about 20,000 employees, and the CommScope name passed to Amphenol with it.
