D Byford Holdings Ltd

D Byford Holdings Ltd is the owner of Byford, a brand of socks, hosiery and clothing with British origins. The name goes back to D. Byford & Co of Leicester, which Donald Byford founded in 1919 after serving in the First World War. That firm grew into a manufacturer with its own factory in Leicester and known for the Byford 98 shrink-resistant wool sock, later adding knitwear and further factories in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The Byford brand is now sold in more than 20 countries through about 1,000 retail locations, and the company lists a business address in Hong Kong.
