Domtar

Domtar is a North American manufacturer of fiber-based products, including uncoated freesheet and specialty papers, pulp, airlaid nonwovens, containerboard and packaging, tissue and wood products. It is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, and Fort Mill, South Carolina, and its origins trace to the Dominion Tar and Chemical Company, formed in Canada in 1903. Paper Excellence acquired the company in 2021 for US$2.8 billion, and it is privately held and owned by investor Jackson Wijaya. Domtar has more than 13,000 employees at about 60 locations in the United States and Canada and serves customers in about 90 countries.
