It was formed in 2015 by the merger of the Swiss company Kaba, whose roots go back to 1862, and the German company Dorma, founded in 1908. Its portfolio includes door closers, automatic door systems, electronic access control, keys, locks and hotel locking products, under brands such as Silca, Ilco and Modernfold. The group is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (DOKA) and had about 15,300 employees in 2024/25.
