Eaton is a power management company that makes electrical and industrial products, with its operational headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, and a registered head office in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1911 as the Torbensen Gear and Axle Company in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and has owned the Cutler-Hammer electrical business since 1978. Its Electrical Sector covers distribution and control equipment, while the Industrial Sector includes aerospace, filtration, vehicle and eMobility products. The company employs more than 85,000 people, sells in over 175 countries and is listed on the NYSE as ETN.
