It makes reserve-power and motive-power batteries, chargers, power equipment and outdoor enclosures for industrial, infrastructure and defense customers, under brands including Alpha, Bren-Tronics, ICS Industries, Odyssey Battery, Purcell Systems and Rebel. The company was formed in 1999, acquired Yuasa's industrial battery division in 2000 and merged with the Hawker Group in 2002. It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange as ENS and serves customers in about 100 countries.
