Exide Technologies is a manufacturer of automotive and industrial batteries and battery energy storage systems, descended from the Electric Storage Battery Company founded in the United States in 1888. After the North American operations were sold to Atlas Holdings in 2020, the Exide Technologies business covers markets outside the USA, Canada and India and is headquartered in Gennevilliers, France. Its business areas are Automotive, Motion (material handling and mining), Energy Solutions and BESS, and its brands include Exide, Tudor, FULMEN and Sønnak. It operates in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
