Gazelle is an American online seller of pre-owned and refurbished phones and tablets, including Apple, Samsung and Google devices, that also buys used electronics through a trade-in program. It was founded in 2006 in Boston, Massachusetts by Israel Ganot, Rousseau Aurelien and James McElhiney, and is headquartered in San Diego, California. Outerwall Inc., the owner of ecoATM, acquired the company in November 2015, and it operates under the legal name ecoATM, LLC. Its store selling certified pre-owned devices to consumers opened in November 2014.
