Halfords

Halfords is a UK retailer of motoring and cycling products and services, headquartered in Redditch, Worcestershire, and operating in the UK and Ireland. The business was founded in 1892 in Birmingham by Frederick Rushbrooke as a wholesale ironmongery, and began selling cycling goods after opening a store in Halford Street, Leicester, in 1902. Today the group runs about 370 retail stores and 496 garages, and has expanded in autocare and cycling through acquisitions including Boardman Bikes, Tredz and National Tyres and Autocare. Halfords Group plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker HFD.
