Matas is a Danish health and beauty retailer selling makeup, skincare, fragrance, hair care, health products and household goods in stores and online at matas.dk. The company was founded in 1949 and operated as a voluntary chain of independent shops until 2007; it has been listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen since 2013. Matas Group, which also includes the Swedish chain KICKS, acquired in 2023, has about 500 stores across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland and about 4,000 employees. Its own striped-design product line is sold alongside brands such as Dior, Chanel, Clarins, Lancôme and Clinique.
