Newell Brands is a US consumer and commercial products company headquartered in the Atlanta area and listed on Nasdaq under the symbol NWL. It began as a curtain rod manufacturer in Ogdensburg, New York, in the early 1900s and took its present name after combining with Jarden. Its portfolio includes the writing brands Sharpie, Paper Mate, Parker and Expo, Rubbermaid storage and commercial products, Coleman, Yankee Candle, Calphalon and Crock-Pot. The company employed about 24,600 people in 2023.
