Peanuts Worldwide LLC manages the Peanuts property created by Charles M. Schulz, including licensing, media and merchandise, and operates peanuts.com. The comic strip debuted on 2 October 1950 and runs in over 2,200 newspapers in 75 countries. The company was formed in 2010 when United Media sold its Peanuts assets, and it is registered in Delaware with its main trading address in New York. Sony Music Entertainment Japan became a shareholder in 2018, and Sony companies took a majority stake in a deal that closed in March 2026.
