Pep Boys is a US automotive service company that began in 1921, when four friends opened a parts store in Philadelphia. It offers tire, battery and maintenance work through in-store service bays and sells tires, batteries, parts and accessories, including brands such as Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Firestone, Continental and Cooper Tire, with online ordering. The company is based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. Icahn Enterprises has owned it since 2016, when it completed the acquisition for about US$1 billion.
