Screwfix is a UK retailer of trade tools, hardware and building supplies, selling through about 940 stores and online with click and collect. It was founded in 1979 in Yeovil, Somerset, began as a mail-order catalogue business, and has been owned by Kingfisher plc, which also owns B&Q, since 1999. The range covers fixings, power and hand tools, electrical and lighting, plumbing and heating, workwear and outdoor products, with brands including DeWalt, STIHL and Flymo. It opened its first stores in France in 2022 and employs over 14,000 people.
