Turtle Beach Corporation is an American gaming accessory maker based in San Diego, California, and listed on Nasdaq as TBCH. It makes gaming headsets, controllers and other peripherals for consoles, PC and mobile. The company traces its roots to 1975, when Carmine Bonanno founded Octave Electronics in Queens, New York, which later became Voyetra Technologies. Voyetra acquired the sound card maker Turtle Beach Systems in 1996, and the company began making gaming headsets in 2005.
