Mixed pallet
A mixed pallet contains more than one product or stock-keeping unit. It can help a buyer purchase a varied range without ordering a full pallet of each item, but the packing list must identify the quantities of each product.
Mixed pallets can contain a buyer-selected assortment or a supplier-defined lot. Their value depends on the exact contents, not just the total unit count. Buyers need a breakdown of item references, quantities, condition and packaging, particularly for clearance lots where some products may be difficult to resell.
For example, a small shop may order cases of ten different cleaning products on one pallet instead of a full pallet of each. That reduces stock commitment and consolidates delivery. The packing list must still show each case pack and product quantity so the goods can be checked and entered accurately.
