Stock list

A stock list shows goods that a supplier has available or expects to supply. It may include descriptions, quantities, condition and prices; buyers should confirm availability because a published list can become outdated as orders are placed.

Stock lists are especially common for surplus goods, electronics and other markets where available quantities change quickly. They may show model numbers, grades, batch sizes, packaging details and the date the information was updated. Stock described as available may still be subject to prior sale until the supplier accepts and allocates the order.

For example, a list may offer 120 refurbished phones of a specified model, grade and storage capacity. A buyer should confirm the remaining quantity, warranty and included accessories before ordering. A product catalogue describes the range more generally; it is not necessarily evidence that every listed item is currently in stock.
