With the World Cup beginning on Sunday the 20th of November, Bestway Wholesale has commenced its campaign around the tournament representing £250,000 in investment.

As the UK’s largest independent retail wholesaler, Bestway Wholesale’s investment in the tournament represents the significance of the World Cup to retailers throughout the country. The wholesaler has 56 depots throughout the nation with the new campaign including World Cup features such as a stadium complete with tunnels and goals in-store reflecting the buzz around the tournament.

The campaign began on the 11th of November and will last until the 8th of December with items including soft drinks, beers & ciders, crisps & snacks, wines and a wide range of other grocery and household items. Featuring 23 reputable suppliers the campaign includes products from major in-demand brands such as Coca-Cola, Carlsberg and Kellogg’s among a wide range of other popular lines.

The timing of the calendar will contribute to an already profitable time in the UK trading calendar. Drinks and snacks are set to form a significant part of the viewer experience during the World Cup, with retailers preparing for the spike in demand.

Bestway’s Trading Director Kenton Burchell discussed the company’s World Cup campaign explaining that the wholesaler has focused on items that will meet viewer demand so that retailers can be prepared for the tournament. Burchell also talked about the main focus of the campaign relating to products that will improve viewers’ experience centering on items such as beer packs, snacks and soft drinks.

Retailers can enter a competition with more than £50,000 in prizes when purchasing items throughout the four-week campaign. Some of the highlights of the competition include World Cup footballs, gaming bundles, Amazon vouchers, LED TVs, etc.

The main prize in the competition is a Ford Transit Courier Leader 1.5TDCI. The compact van is a fuel-efficient, reliable vehicle and the perfect van for small and medium-sized UK retailers. Kenton Burchell discussed the importance of this competition relating to Bestway’s mission to facilitate profitable trading for retailers throughout the UK.
