Advanced Search

Advanced search looks for companies across the whole directory at once, instead of one company type at a time. Use it when you know roughly what kind of business you want and where, for example "distributors in Poland" or every manufacturer whose name contains "tech".

The three filters

• Keyword - matches the company name only, and partial names work: "bosch" finds "Robert Bosch GmbH". It does not search descriptions, products or brands, see "Looking for something else?" below.
• Company type - what the business does: manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor, retailer, online retailer, dropshipper, logistics, and so on. Types marked (Pro) are the members-only wholesale directories.
• Country - where the company is based. That is its head office, not necessarily where it ships from or the markets it serves.

Filters combine, so each one you add narrows the result further. Nothing is searched until you set at least one of them; until then the page invites you to pick your filters. Clear filters resets everything. Your filters are kept in the page address, so a search can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague.

Reading the results

Matches are listed alphabetically, 24 per page. Each row shows the logo, name, all of the company's types, its country and the product categories it deals in. Click a row for the full profile: contact details, brands, people, branches and anything the company has listed for sale.

Results that need Pro

Wholesalers, distributors, dropshippers and the other wholesale categories are part of the Pro membership, and that affects this page in two ways:

• You picked a members-only type. Instead of results you get an upgrade panel explaining what the directory contains. The type stays selectable on purpose, so you always know it exists.
• Your search happens to match members-only companies. They are not silently dropped: the result count at the top includes them, and a locked note under the results says how many matched but are reserved for Pro members. If every match is members-only, the heading says so.

Signing up is free and immediate; Pro adds the wholesale directories and wholesale pricing across the catalogue.

Looking for something else?

• A product, brand or barcode - use the search bar in the site header, which covers products, companies and brands together.
• Companies dealing in a product category - advanced search has no category filter. Browse /company-products/, or open a single type directory from /companies/, where category is one of the filters.
• Everything from one country - /countries/ gathers a country's companies, brands, products and people on one page.
• Just browsing by type - the tiles on /companies/ show every type with the number of companies in it.

No results?

Drop the keyword first, it is the strictest filter, then widen the country or type. Remember the keyword only matches names, so a company that sells the product you want will not appear unless the product is part of its name. If a business you know is missing from the directory entirely, you are welcome to add it at /company/register/.
