Conair LLC is a privately held US maker of personal care and small appliance products, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. It was founded in 1959 in Queens, New York, by Julian and Leandro Rizzuto, and started by selling hair rollers and then hair dryers. Its brands include Conair, BaBylissPRO, Scunci, Cuisinart, Waring and Interplak, covering hair care, personal care, travel accessories and kitchen appliances. The private equity firm American Securities holds the majority of the company, with minority stakes held by Rizzuto family members.
